It’s interesting times regardless, as we try to determine our best moves in an economy that seems to be defying many of the fundamentals as we have known them in the past. There are some very interesting goings on in many business sectors as people defy the public/market opinions and continue to forge straight ahead! One recent shining example is a company in British Columbia, Canada (Lasso Data Systems) who in a recent news release announced an amazing expansion of its customer base despite this market, with increases in the first Quarter of 2009. This reflects "a strong indicator, that in challenging markets builders are turning to technology to sell their projects and to reduce marketing and sales costs." Lasso is a leading provider of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions for the real estate industry. It seems Lasso has set a course despite the market woes – and – in the real estate sector!
 I don’t know about you, but I get a very strong urge to get up and dance around the room when I read news releases like that – or at least do something utterly and distinctly positive!  With the internet available as a bottomless well of information, it provides endless data on what you might do to increase and manage your business. Spend a little time asking yourself a few burning questions about your own direction of expansion – then Google like mad – as food for thought!
